Hagen Stoll

Born in 1975, Hagen Stoll grew up in Marzahn in East Berlin. After completing an apprenticeship in construction and working various temporary jobs, including as a bouncer, ice-cream seller and cleaner, he turned to the emerging German rap scene in the mid-1990s. He worked as a producer, including for Sido, and performed under the name Joe Rilla. In 2009, he co-founded the group Haudegen with his childhood friend Sven Gillert and moved into rock music. The group’s debut album, “Schlicht & Ergreifend,” reached number nine on the German charts.
