Born in 1949, H. Dieter Neumann first served as an officer in the German Air Force and held positions at international NATO offices. He later worked as a qualified financial economist in sales management and executive roles before turning to writing. Neumann is primarily an author of thrillers and crime novels and has also published nonfiction books about idioms. His short story “Dunkles Wasser” received an award at the NordMord Award.
