Gundi Feyrer

Gundi Feyrer, born in Heilbronn in 1956, first trained as a stonemason in Freiburg and then studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and fine art at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg. From 1980 onward, her work included book and material objects, drawings, illustrations, animated films, videos, radio plays, and theatre pieces, as well as artist’s editions and poetic prose. Her performances combined words, images, and sound or music. Feyrer translated, among other works, Russell Hoban’s “Angelica’s Grotto” from English. She received numerous awards and grants, including the H. C. Artmann Prize of the City of Vienna in 2018.
