Grit Weirauch

Born in 1973, Grit Weirauch studied Romance languages and comparative literature in Saarbrücken and Berlin. She worked as an editor for several daily newspapers and the television channel ARTE. She also lived in Cuba and Peru, where she spent several weeks traveling on rivers. From 2008 onward, she worked as a freelance translator from French and Spanish. Her first literary translation was the novel “The River Is a Wound Full of Fish.”
