Gert Prokop

Gert Prokop (1932–1994) was a German writer of crime fiction, science fiction and children’s books. After completing secondary school, he worked as a trainee and received editorial training before later studying journalism. From 1967 to 1970, he worked at the DEFA documentary film studio in Berlin as a member of the Heynowski & Scheumann group. From 1971 onward, he worked as a freelance writer.
