Gerhard Kruip, born in 1957, holds a doctorate in theology. He was Professor of Christian Anthropology and Social Ethics at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, where he is now retired. His research interests included questions of justice, particularly in relation to social security, globalization, poverty reduction, intergenerational justice, and environmental and climate protection.
