Gerd Kommer

Dr. Gerd Kommer is a German author and former investment banker. He spent 24 years working in corporate banking at banks and asset-management companies in Germany, the United Kingdom, and South Africa. Kommer studied business administration, tax law, political science, and German studies in Germany, the United States, and Liechtenstein. He founded the asset-management companies Gerd Kommer Invest and Gerd Kommer Capital. He is known for books on long-term investment strategies, including “Souverän investieren mit Indexfonds und ETFs” and “Mieten statt Kaufen.” “Souverän investieren mit Indexfonds und ETFs” received the German Finance Book Prize in 2016.
