Geoffroy de Lagasnerie, born in 1982, is a philosopher and sociologist. In 2013, he was appointed professor of philosophy at the École nationale supérieure d’arts de Cergy-Pontoise. He edited the book series “à venir” at Fayard and blogged for the news platform Mediapart. His work focuses primarily on political, social, and legal philosophy. His books translated into German include “The Art of Revolt” (2016), “Judging” (2017), “Thinking in a Bad World” (2019), and “3 – A Life Outside” (2023). In 2016, he received the Prix de l’Écrit Social.
