Gemma Koppen

Gemma Koppen studied architecture at Delft University of Technology, urban design at Pratt Institute, and advanced architectural design at Columbia University in New York. She subsequently taught architectural design at universities in Europe and the United States. Koppen founded the practice Kopvol architecture & psychology, with offices in Berlin and Rotterdam, bringing architectural and psychological perspectives together. The practice worked across disciplines during different stages of design and planning. Her approach to architecture focuses on the interaction between buildings and their users and on the influence of the built environment on health and well-being.
