Gabi Schmid was born and raised in Stuttgart. Before turning to writing and book production, she worked as a database engineer at a major law firm. She completed training as a freelance editor (ADM) and specializes in book typesetting, e-book production, and self-publishing. Her first novels, Gleichklang and Touché, were published in 2013 and 2014. She has also published short novels in the Mittsingen series and, in 2024, the book Buchsatz-Kompass.
