G. E. Trevelyan (1903–1941), whose full name was Gertrude Eileen Trevelyan, was an English writer. Born in Bath, Somerset, she studied at Princess Helena College and Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford. Her first novel, “Appius and Virginia,” was published in 1932, followed by seven further works of prose. Trevelyan was the first woman to receive the Newdigate Prize.
