Fritz J Raddatz

Fritz J. Raddatz (1931–2015) was a German author, essayist, and publicist. From 1960 to 1969, he held a senior position at Rowohlt Verlag, and from 1977 to 1985 he was literary editor of the German newspaper Die Zeit. Raddatz edited Kurt Tucholsky’s collected works and published novels, stories, biographies, and essays that were translated into many languages. His notable books include his diaries and the memoir »Jahre mit Ledig«. In 1986, he was awarded the French Order of Arts and Letters at the rank of Officer; in 2010, he received the Hildegard von Bingen Prize for Journalism.
