Friederike von Criegern

Friederike von Criegern is a literary translator and lecturer in literature and translation. She earned a doctorate in Göttingen with a dissertation on Chilean poetry. Her translations from Spanish include fiction, poetry, and drama; authors she has translated include Cristina Morales, Nona Fernández, Jorge Comensal, and Floridor Pérez. In 2022, she and Cristina Morales received the International Literature Prize of the Haus der Kulturen der Welt for their translation of Easy Language.
