Friederike Pannewick

Friederike Pannewick (Prof. Dr.) is a scholar of Arabic studies. Her research has focused on modern Arabic literature and culture, Arabic theatre, and the cultural and intellectual history of the Arab world. Her academic roles have included heading Arabic studies at the CNMS, directing the research program “Figures of Thought | Turning Points. Cultural Practices and Social Change in the Arab World,” and serving on the board of the Forum Transregionale Studien in Berlin.
