Franz Jung

Franz Jung (1888–1963) was a German writer, journalist, and economic correspondent. He worked for the journal Die Aktion and the Malik publishing house and wrote Expressionist and socially critical novels and stories. He also wrote plays for Erwin Piscator and was involved in the early Dada movement. After 1918, he participated in revolutionary activities and later worked in famine relief and the economic sector in the early Soviet Union. His notable works include the autobiography Der Weg nach unten.
