Florian Malzacher

Florian Malzacher studied applied theatre studies in Giessen and subsequently worked as a theatre critic for publications including *Theater heute*, the *Frankfurter Rundschau* and *taz*. From 2006 to 2012, he was dramaturgical director and curator of the steirischer herbst festival in Graz; from 2013 to 2017, he served as artistic director of the Impulse Theater Festival in Düsseldorf, Cologne and Mülheim an der Ruhr. As a curator, he was involved in projects including *Truth is Concrete*, *Aneignungen* and *Artist Organisations International*. He has also worked as a dramaturg with artists and groups such as Rimini Protokoll, Lola Arias and Nature Theater of Oklahoma. Malzacher has written and edited numerous books and essays on theatre, performance, art and politics.
