Farina de Waard

Farina de Waard was born in Freiburg in 1991. She studied environmental sciences at the University of Freiburg, earning a bachelor’s degree. She is best known as the author of the fantasy series The Legacy of the Wolves, whose first volume, Taming, was self-published through her Fanowa Verlag in 2013. In 2015, she won first place in the Indie Author Prize at the Leipzig Book Fair for her debut. According to her own account, de Waard began writing at the age of 14 after an intense dream.
