Falko Schmieder

Falko Schmieder is a cultural scholar. From 1994 to 2000, he studied communication studies, political science, sociology and philosophy at TU Dresden, Humboldt University of Berlin and Freie Universität Berlin. He received his doctorate from Freie Universität Berlin in 2004, graduating summa cum laude, and was awarded the David Rjasanov Prize in 2005. Schmieder worked at the Centre for Literary and Cultural Research, later the Leibniz Centre for Literary and Cultural Research, in Berlin, and served as a private lecturer at Humboldt University of Berlin. With Ernst Müller, he published Begriffsgeschichte und historische Semantik (2016) and Begriffsgeschichte zur Einführung (2020).
