Eva Maria Berg, born in Düsseldorf in 1949, studied German and Romance languages and literature in Freiburg, as well as art in Norway and Germany. She works as an author and artist and has published poetry, prose, essays, and numerous books and artists’ books, some multilingual and created in collaboration with visual artists. A particular focus of her artistic work is paper and the art of folding. She is the mother of three daughters.
