Ernest Borneman

Ernest Borneman (1915–1995) was an anthropologist, psychoanalyst, filmmaker, crime writer, jazz critic, and sexologist. He studied archaeology, prehistory, social and cultural anthropology, and ethnoanalysis in England and the United States. As a writer, he also published under the pseudonym Cameron McCabe. After the Second World War, he taught sexology at universities in Germany and Austria and researched child sexuality for more than three decades. His best-known works include The Patriarchy (1975). In 1990, he received the Magnus Hirschfeld Medal for Sexology.
