Erling Kagge (born 1963) worked as a Norwegian publisher, author, lawyer, art collector and mountaineer. He was the first person to reach the so-called “three poles”: the South Pole, the North Pole and the summit of Mount Everest. He also became known for his reflections on silence. His books include “Silence: In the Age of Noise” (2017) and “Great Art for Little Money” (2019).
