Erich Segal

Erich Segal (1937–2010) was a novelist, screenwriter, and scholar of literature. Born in Brooklyn, he studied classics and literature at Harvard University, where he later became a professor. His best-known novel, Love Story, was first published in 1970, translated into numerous languages, and adapted for the screen. Segal also wrote other novels, scholarly works, and screenplays, including one for the animated film Yellow Submarine. He died in London in 2010.
