Born in 1978, Emma Jane Unsworth is a novelist and screenwriter. She has published two award-winning novels, including *Animals* and *Adults*. *Adults* entered the British bestseller list, while Unsworth received the British Independent Film Award for Best Debut Screenwriter for the film adaptation of *Animals*, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2019. She has also written for magazines including *Grazia* and *Guardian Weekend*, as well as screenplays for television.
