Emanuel Tov

Emanuel Tov, born in 1941, is an Israeli biblical scholar. He received his PhD in biblical studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1973. From 1986, he was a professor in the university’s Department of Bible, and from 1990 he held the J. L. Magnes Chair. He later became Professor Emeritus at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
