Elke Ranzinger, born in Passau in 1980, studied theatre studies, Scandinavian studies and modern German literature in Munich and Bergen. After several years working as a drama dramaturg at the Landestheater Linz, she worked freelance from 2015 onward as a translator of Norwegian and Swedish literature, including prose, poetry, drama and musicals. Authors she has translated include Merethe Lindstrøm, Helga Flatland and Tore Renberg. She has also worked as a moderator and dramaturg.
