Elizabeth A. T. Smith is an American art historian and curator. She served as executive director for curatorial affairs at the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto, as senior curator and deputy program director at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, and as a curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. In Los Angeles, she organized the 1989 exhibition “Blueprints for Modern Living: History and Legacy of the Case Study Houses.” Smith has organized numerous exhibitions, published writings on contemporary art and architecture, and lectured on these subjects. She also served as executive director of the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation.
