Elisabeth Steinkellner

Elisabeth Steinkellner, born in 1981 and raised in southern Lower Austria, trained as a social pedagogue in Vienna and studied cultural and social anthropology. She worked as an author of poetry, short prose, and books for children and young adults. Her publications include the novel »Rabensommer«. Her work received, among other honors, the Hans-im-Glück Prize, the Feldkirch Poetry Prize, and the Outstanding Artist Award for children’s and young adult literature. As a child, she initially dreamed of becoming a circus performer.
