Elisabeth Schneider

Elisabeth Schneider was born in Hamburg and studied literature and politics at the Free University of Berlin. She worked as an editor for the newspaper taz and wrote literary essays for radio. She also translated books for young readers and wrote short stories, fiction and poetry. In Hamburg, she helped establish the non-profit radio station Radio Korah; in Berlin, she performed settings of her poems under the title Lyricals at small theatre and cabaret venues. From 1991, she served as artistic director and managing director of the Kulturkreis Das Zentrum in Radstadt.
