Edith Schreiber-Wicke

Edith Schreiber-Wicke was born in Steyr, Upper Austria, and studied theater studies and art history in Vienna. She initially wrote advertising copy before turning to stories and books. Her works have been translated into numerous languages and received several literary awards.
