Edith Anderson

Edith Anderson (1915–1999) was a Jewish-American journalist, author, and editor. In 1943, she met the German exile Max Schröder in New York; they later married. After the Second World War, she followed him to East Berlin and the later German Democratic Republic. There, she established herself as a journalist, author, and editor. Her debut novel, “A Man’s Job,” was published in 1956.
