Eckart von Hirschhausen (born 1967) is a physician, science journalist, comedian, author and television presenter. He studied medicine and science journalism in Berlin, London and Heidelberg. He became known for presenting medical and social topics in a humorous way. His successful nonfiction books include *Die Leber wächst mit ihren Aufgaben*, *Glück kommt selten allein …* and *Wunder wirken Wunder*; together with his other works, they have sold more than five million copies. In 2008, he founded the HUMOR HILFT HEILEN foundation, which promotes greater humanity and healthy laughter in medicine. In 2020, he founded the *Gesunde Erde – Gesunde Menschen* foundation and became involved in the connection between climate protection and health.
