Easkey Britton is an Irish big-wave surfer and marine social scientist. At the age of 16, she became the first Irish person to surf the famous Teahupoʻo wave in Tahiti. She later became a finalist in the Billabong XXL Global Big Wave Awards and won the Irish national surfing championship five times. Her academic work focuses on the relationship between people and the sea.
