Drew Hayden Taylor

Drew Hayden Taylor (born 1962) is an Indigenous Canadian playwright, novelist, filmmaker and journalist. He was born in the Curve Lake First Nation. Taylor has written more than 30 books and has received multiple awards. His varied career has included stand-up performances at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and serving as artistic director of Native Earth Performing Arts, Canada’s first Indigenous theatre company. He became known to a wider German audience through the documentary “Searching for Winnetou” (2018). “COLD” was his first novel to be translated into German.
