Dorothy L. Sayers

Dorothy L. Sayers (1893–1957) was an English writer and a major author of classic detective fiction. She published more than twenty detective novels and created Lord Peter Wimsey, an elegant and financially independent amateur detective who solves crimes for moral reasons. Sayers was among the first women to take examinations at the University of Oxford.
