Dirk Kohl

Dirk Kohl was born in 1967 in Schlema in the Ore Mountains. After completing vocational training as an electrical technician specializing in automation technology, he initially worked as an electrician and electrical-goods salesperson. In 1991, he began studying for a diploma in advertising management in Stuttgart and subsequently pursued a career in marketing, advertising, and communications. From 1993 to 1996, he headed marketing at a BMW dealership in Chemnitz. He then ran his own advertising and event agencies until 2003 and also worked in marketing for Radio Dresden. In 2003, he became managing director of the Kunstblatt publishing group, expanding his work into publishing and media. He has also been involved with various organizations in the fields of business, politics, and culture and has organized event series on these subjects.
