Dieter Vaitl

Dieter Vaitl is a German clinical psychologist and neuroscientist. He studied philosophy and psychology in Rome and Freiburg. Until his retirement, he held the chair of Clinical and Physiological Psychology at the University of Giessen. There, he founded and directed the Bender Institute of Neuroimaging. He also founded and directed the international research network “Altered States of Consciousness.”
