Dieter Janz (1920–2016) was a German neurologist who specialized in epilepsy. After earning his doctorate with a dissertation on carotid sinus syndrome, he completed his habilitation in 1955 with a study of petit mal epilepsy. He received several awards for his contributions to epilepsy research.
