Dick Bruna

Dick Bruna (1927–2017) was a Dutch graphic artist and children’s book illustrator. He was born in Utrecht, where he lived and worked. In 1955, he first drew the little rabbit that became the character Miffy. Bruna’s books were translated into more than 50 languages and sold more than 85 million copies worldwide. He died in Utrecht in 2017.
