Diarmaid MacCulloch

Diarmaid MacCulloch (born 1951) was Professor Emeritus of Church History at the University of Oxford, as well as Emeritus Fellow of St Cross College and a Fellow of Campion Hall in Oxford. He was ordained as a deacon in the Church of England but did not proceed to priestly ordination because of the church’s position on homosexuality. He received several awards for his books and BBC documentaries.
