David Wong is an engineer specializing in cryptography and computer security. His professional roles included work at O(1) Labs on the Mina cryptocurrency, responsibility for the security of the Diem cryptocurrency—formerly known as Libra—at Novi, Facebook, and security consulting at the NCC Group. He participated in publicly funded open-source audits of projects including OpenSSL and Let’s Encrypt, and appeared as a speaker and instructor at conferences such as Black Hat and DEF CON. Wong contributed to work on TLS 1.3 and the Noise Protocol Framework and identified vulnerabilities in various software and TLS libraries. He authored or co-authored the Disco protocol and the Decentralized Application Security Project for smart contracts.
