David Levithan (born 1972) is an American author and editor. He worked as an editor-in-chief at Scholastic Books and has published numerous young adult novels, including *Every Day*, *Two Boys Kissing*, *Will Grayson, Will Grayson* (with John Green), and *Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist* and *Dash & Lily* (both with Rachel Cohn). His work has received several literary honors, including the Margaret A. Edwards Award for lifetime achievement. *Every Day* was also adapted into a film.
