David Attenborough

Sir David Frederick Attenborough, born in London in 1926, was a British natural filmmaker, naturalist and writer. He studied natural sciences at Cambridge and became known for nature documentaries produced for the BBC, including The Living Planet (1984). In 2019, he narrated the Netflix series Our Planet. His books and films reached an international audience of millions. Attenborough was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1983 and appointed a Knight Bachelor in 1985. He received the Goldene Kamera award in 1992 and an honorary doctorate from Uppsala University’s Faculty of Science in 2007.
