David Almond

David Almond, born in Gateshead in 1951, is a British author of children’s and young adult fiction. His work has received, among other honors, the Carnegie Medal (1998), the Hans Christian Andersen Award (2010), the Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize (2015), and the James Krüss Prize for International Children’s and Young Adult Literature (2022).
