Darren McGarvey

Darren McGarvey, also known by the stage name “Loki”, is a Scottish author, columnist and rapper. He grew up in Pollok on the southern edge of Glasgow. In 2015, he took part as a “rapper-in-residence” in a Scottish police violence-prevention programme. His first book, “Armut”, became a Sunday Times Top Ten bestseller and won the Orwell Prize in 2018.
