Daniel Wolf is the pen name of Christoph Lode, a writer born in 1977. Before devoting himself entirely to writing, he worked, among other jobs, as a music teacher, in a chemical factory and in a psychiatric clinic. He became known primarily for historical novels such as “Das Salz der Erde” and “Das Licht der Welt,” as well as further books about the Fleury merchant family, including “Das Gold des Meeres” and “Die Gabe des Himmels.” His Friesensaga, comprising “Im Zeichen des Löwen” and “Im Bann des Adlers,” also reached the bestseller lists.
