Daniel N. Stern (1934–2012) was an American psychiatrist, psychoanalyst, infant researcher, and developmental psychologist. He was a professor of psychiatry at Cornell University Medical Center and a professor of psychology at the University of Geneva. His notable works include The Diary of a Baby and The Birth of a Mother, co-written with Nadia Bruschweiler-Stern. He also published Forms of Vitality and collaborated with the Boston Change Process Study Group on Change Processes.
