Dagmar Schultz

Dagmar Schultz was a professor at the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences in Berlin from 1991 to 2004. From 1963 to 1972, she studied and worked in the United States, completing her dissertation on workers’ education there. She subsequently taught at the John F. Kennedy Institute for North American Studies at Freie Universität Berlin from 1973 to 1986 and received her habilitation from the university’s Institute of Sociology in 1989. Schultz co-founded and worked for many years with Berlin’s Feminist Women’s Health Center and the Orlanda Women’s Press. Her teaching and research focused on intercultural social work, women’s and gender studies, and the provision of psychosocial and psychiatric services to migrants and minorities.
