Craig Russell (born 1956) is an award-winning author whose books have been translated into 23 languages. He developed an interest in German culture while still a student. He is known in particular for his crime novels featuring Hamburg detective Jan Fabel, including “Blutadler,” “Wolfsfährte,” “Auferstehung,” “Brandmal,” “Carneval,” “Walküre,” and “Tiefenangst.” His other works include “Wo der Teufel ruht,” a novel set in 1930s Prague, and “Der geheimnisvolle Mr. Hyde.”
