Cornelia Gerner holds a doctorate in art history. She studied art history in Munich and Bamberg and completed her doctorate in Berlin. From 2000 to 2022, she headed the Department of Art and History in Berlin’s Reinickendorf district and the Reinickendorf Museum. Her work focused on memorial culture and on addressing the history of National Socialism, including the creation of memorial sites, exhibitions, and publications.
