Cihan Acar

Cihan Acar, born in 1986 near Heilbronn, studied law in Heidelberg. He is an author and journalist who has published books about hip-hop and the Istanbul football club Galatasaray. His debut novel, “Hawaii,” was published in 2020. For the novel, Acar received the Doppelfeld Foundation Literature Prize and the Thaddäus Troll Prize; he was also awarded a literature scholarship from the state of Baden-Württemberg.
